Wow, it's already April 10th and i haven't even posted once this month. :( I'm sorry. The only reason I'm updating now is because it's a super special day in the Agemy household. Today is the day that my baby brother DJ was born! Happy birthday baby brother DJ!
I still remember that long ago day. It was a happy/sad day in the Agemy household. A happy day because we had a new little brother, a sad day because we woke up to my Aunt cooking Aunt Jemima pancakes for us. Why is it sad to wake up to Aunt Jemima pancakes and a new baby brother? Well, I shall explain in FULL detail!April ??, 2000.
We received a box of Aunt Jemima pancake mix, all you needed to make it was some water, eggs, and milk. Everyday after that we would ask our Mom if we could make it, her reply, "No.".

I went to bed like any other day.
April 10, 2000.
I woke up like any other day...except, not really. Instead of my Mother waking me up I woke up on my own time. I crept out of my room and walked into the kitchen. What did I find in the kitchen? Not my Mother, no sir, it was my Aunt! Sometime during the night when I was asleep she came into the house and took over. And it wasn't the fact that she was in our house it was what she was doing, she was making us breakfast. But not any breakfast she was making us the box of Aunt Jemima pancakes that we all wanted make and couldn't wait until that day that Mom finally said we could make them.
After we scoffed down the pancakes we wanted an explanation why our parents were gone and why she thought she had the right to make our box of Aunt Jemima pancakes. My Aunt explained to us (my 6 siblings and I) that during the night my Mother had called her and asked her to come take care of us because my Mother had to go to the hospital and we were going to have another sibling. :) She explained that my Mother had told her that the Aunt Jemima pancake mix was in the back cupboard that she could make it for us for breakfast.
As soon as we heard that we were going to have another sibling we graciously forgot about the Aunt Jemima pancake mix that my Aunt had thought that it was okay to make without my help and started thinking about our new sibling (I say sibling because I can't remember if we knew it was going to be a boy, I think we did though). We all were anxiously awaiting for the door to open and my new little sibling to come in (I think they came home the same day).

Mom and Dad:: What do you guys think we should name the new baby?
Drew: We should name the new baby John Wayne because John Wayne is so cool.
All of us other siblings: Haha! You want to name our little brother John Wayne? Hahah!
Seth: You should name him strudel.
Andrea: You should name him something really cool, maybe name him after me since he'll be born on my birthday.

Finally, after waiting and waiting and waiting the door opened and in walked my Mother and Father with my little baby......brother. We had a new baby in the house. We all were really excited about his name, we found out that my Mother and Father had decided to name him David Jonathan Wayne Agemy. My Dad's favorite quote about his little son was "A big name for a big baby." He said it all the time because DJ weighed in at 11 lbs when he was born.
Later that day after we all had been introduced to our little baby brother my Aunt appeared into the picture again. This time she wasn't making us the Aunt Jemima pancakes that we all wanted to make, no, this time she was carrying a big pot of soup up the stairs for us to eat for a meal. That sure women took/takes amazing care of us. :)
I remember sitting on the couch next to my Grandma Irene holding DJ for the first time! It was the coolest thing ever. I didn't know at that time that he would be the youngest of all of us kids or that he would turn out to be such a spoiled sweetie but man, that little boy was a cutie. :)

Seth: Drew, you wanted DJ to be named John Wayne and now look, he's name is John Wayne.
Drew: No it's not Seth.
Seth: Yes it is! David Jonathan Wayne. See, I told you.
Drew: No his name is not John Wayne

Andrea: Guys, remember how Drew wanted DJ's name to be John Wayne and now his name is John Wayne?
All siblings but Drew: Yea, that is so funny. See Drew you got your wish.
Drew: No! His name is not John Wayne

Random Sibling: Drew, remember how you wanted DJ's name to be John Wayne and now it is?
Drew: Haha, yea that was funny.

I don't know why but this one conversation between my parents and us kids is still very clear in my head. You need to understand the background first. My Mother and Father aren't really a fans of shortened names. For instance they named my brothers Daniel, Michael, and Matthew, no one in their lives has called them Dan, Mike, or Matt without getting a talk down from Mom. They just don't like names shortened like that.
Anyway, back to the story. So I remember my Aunt or someone asking what we were going to call because David Jonathan is a really long name to say. My Dad and Mom both agreed that DJ was okay for him but we couldn't do anything else. He was never allowed to be called David. He was never allowed to be called D. He was never allowed to be called Jonathan. Nope, his name was David Jonathan....or DJ was fine.
Needless to say I've gotten away with a few to call him that nobody else can :) I have a whole list so I'll name the ones that I can think of. DLouie, Bubba boy, Bub, D, Dji, David J, and it's been so long since I've seen him that's all I can remember.
My littlest brother DJ brings so much joy and life into our house. He's a crazy man but I'm so thankful that he's alive. Our house would be so boring and lame without him and I'm so thankful for him. Thanks for being Da man Dlouie! I miss you kid.
Here are some pictures just so you know what my baby bro is like. First, let's start with me and him....
DJ is awesome. He's so sweet and caring and probably one of the nicer of the nicest of us siblings. He's so fun to hang out with he's a talker! He's really out going and can make friends really fast. He's smile is amazing and his hugs are the bestest!
Since he's the youngest all 7 of us older have obviously spoiled him rotten but he also has to pick up all the chores that all of us have gotten to old to do. He's had to set the table for like 5 years now and do the trash and do the dishes. Thankfully he has his best bro Matthew right there with him to help otherwise he might not be alive right now.
This little man is going to be a giant! I hear that he's pretty much as tall as Mom which means that he's like a 1/4th of an inch shorter than me. No secret now that I'm going to be the shortest sibling. This kid has always been tall though. A lot of people have thought that him and Matthew were twins and when we told them that they weren't they always assumed that DJ was older because of his height.
Next some pictures of him and his best friend and my other little brother the Matthew Man!!!! Let me just tell you now that with these two life is always an adventure...
These two have been best friends ever since DJ was born. I'm so happy that they have each other.
My little brother DJ has the type of personality that can cheer you up really easily. His smile is so sweet and he shows it often. He makes me smile all the time and I love it!
I'm not really sure what to label these pictures so here you go. Me and DJ and Seth and Matthew are the 4 youngest in my family and since we're the youngest when everyone grew up and left we were the ones at home and we learned how to live with each other. We had a lot of fun together before I left spending nights in my room taking the stupidest most funny photos together or sometimes playing basketball or taking more pictures or hanging out in the woods. Yea, I love hanging out with my little bros...their the best :)
Anyway, all that to say that my little brother is amazing. I miss you DLouie and I can't wait to see you in July! I hope you had a great birthday and that you were able to go fishing with Sethy! Miss you, Dredre
P.S. I'm really not that bitter about the Aunt Jemima pancakes. (Keyword: THAT)

That's so sweet!!! You really do a great job doing these for your family. Are you going to get Michael in before you come home. What about Daniel?
Andrea, I enjoyed this post very much. Birthdays aren't the same without you but thanks for blessing us with the post.
(btw -- you did not know that it was boy until after he was born and we did come home the same day.)
Great story telling and that's for being such a great sister!!
