HK - The place to be: Sunday, Day 3

Just so you know most of our Sunday was filled with walking and shopping.
Today was Sunday which of course meant our morning was going too filled by going to Church (that’s always a nice thing to do on Sunday’s). We left the house by 8:30 again and walked to the MRT station where we took the MRT to the Church. The church was really big! Because of the verticalness of Asia the Church was 13 or so stories high. The worship service was in Chinese but they sung some songs that we knew the English words to so that was really nice. And the sermon was in English because they had a visiting pastor preach so it was a translated message. It was awesome though to know what the preacher said before the Chinese people did. It was really funny at Church, because it was so big we didn’t think anyone knew we were so we were expecting any type of recognition. We’re sitting there “listening” (they weren’t translating it so we didn’t have any clue what was going on) and randomly we see Kyle and Camellia stand up. They were like “guys, they just introduced us, stand up.” It was so surprising and it random it was awesome though!
After Church we stopped at Starbucks again and had some chill time. After chilling we ate lunch at a random restaurant that served beef noodle, delicious! And after that, we went to the place they call “goldfish street,” it was so cool! It was a block long with both sides just fish stores on both sides of the street and places you could buy fish stuff. Next stop was “Ladies Street.” Camellia had told us about this street and we all had assumed that there would be earrings, clothes, and girly things. Well, it was definitely not that. It was probably like 5 or 6 blocks down with tons of souvenir stuff.
Tons, and tons, and tons of vendors and things you could buy.

Then it was off to the mall to meet up with our friend Trevor who Amber, Camellia and I met at TESOL this summer. We spent an hour or so with him in the mall just walking, and walking, and walking. Random fact, they had H&M in the mall! Then we decided that we were hungry and wanted dinner. On the way to the mall we had passed a pizza hut and we all decided that we wanted pizza hut for dinner. We went in and it was crazy how fancy this pizza hut was. It looked almost like a olive garden in the states. Mr. Chan said that it was because it was foreign specialty and a high class restaurant; it was really expensive too.
Then after that, we walked ALL the way home. Talk about a lot of walking. I didn’t realize how much walking people did in Hong Kong.
